Remco Evenepoel won the time trial at the Critérium du Dauphiné and also took over the yellow jersey. The German cycling professional Florian Lipowitz is now overall.

The Belgian Evenepoel from Team Soudal Quick-Step took 8:50 p.m. for the 17.4 km long route from Charmes-sur-Rhone to Saint-Péray. Lipowitz needed 57 seconds more and ended up fifth in the daily ranking.

In the overall ranking, the 24 -year -old German from the Red Bull – Bora – Hansgrohe team has only four seconds behind the world champion Evenepoel, who was on the 13th place after the third stage.

Romeo loses yellow and falls back to third place

The Spaniard Iván Romeo had started in time trial with a lead of 1:17 minutes on Evenepoel and is now the overall knuckle of nine seconds.

Vingegaard 21 seconds slower than the world champion

On Wednesday (June 11th, 2025), Evenepoel distanced the former Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard (Denmark/Visma-Lease A Bike) on the fourth stage. “He is currently simply the best time driver,” said Vingegaard, who was satisfied with his performance.

Third, the American Matteo Jorgenson (Visma – Lease A Bike) was 38 seconds behind. Only behind it sorted to Topavorit Tadej Pogacar, the tour-de-france winner from Slovenia lost 49 seconds on Evenepoel.

Lipowitz had taken 53 seconds ahead of Evenepoel in the stage. The basis for this was his strong appearance on Tuesday when Lipowitz had made around 30 places on the more than 200 km long section.

Decision is made on Friday

On Thursday there is a hilly stage over 182 kilometers from Saint-Priest to Mâcon, from Friday the decision will be made in the high mountains.

General rehearsal for the Tour de France

The difficult tour ends on Sunday on the plateau du Mont-Cenis is almost the dress rehearsal for the Tour de France (July 5th to 27th).
