Cristina Marino and Luca Argentero: this is how our love was born
«We met under a palm tree. We were in Santo Domingo. I was supposed to leave at 6pm. They called me at 12 to tell me they had the wrong flight. “Look, you’re not leaving today, you’re leaving tomorrow”» says the model. She takes it philosophically: “We’re in Santo Domingo, I’m going to take a bath.” In the evening Luca Argentero arrived. «We would never have even met, just Sliding Doors. We ended up having dinner together and I have to say, something happened. I mean, nothing happened, I gave myself a big pat on the back. However a fuse blew» he says again, confirming the love at first sight between the two.
That first message
The day after that dinner, Cristina Marino leaves. «He sends me a message, among other things he didn’t have the my number so I think he asked for it, with written “There are so many ways to miss a flight, miss it”». Instead, giving herself another pat on the shoulder, she leaves. But the two continue to talk. And, ten days later, he calls her.
«I would have a stopover in Madrid. Then there is a flight that takes me to Milan and one to Rome. If I come to Milan will you take me to dinner?» he tells her. «So we went out for dinner after ten days of having only seen each other once» continues Cristina Marino. From there their love story begins. «I had a Roman base. I went to his house for dinner and never left again. From the first time I went to his house we started living together».

Without mincing words, then, Cristina Marino revealed everything she likes about Luca Argentero. «Luca has an authenticity, a way of being in the world that I like very much. I like him more than anyone I’ve ever met, even more than my friends. We are good friends. The person I have the most fun with in the world” explains. «When I met her I understood her way of being in the world, even in moments of difficulty. And I said: “How right! I want to be with this forever. In addition to being a partner, husband, boyfriend, he is in all respects a travel companion. I like how he travels, I like how he talks, I like how he fights: when he argues with others he says the right thing in the right way. I, on the other hand, go crazy, I seem crazy and so we compensate each other a little. He helped me to be a little more Turin: very polite, very calm. I, on the other hand, am a southerner, with a gut, when I argue I argue.”
My parents? They weren’t very happy
Luca Argentero was also able to win over his in-laws. That, Cristina Marino reveals, at the beginning they were not very happy with their relationship. «Then, however, Luca won them over with his know-how» continues Cristina. «No man slept in my house before Luca. My dad was a real Sicilian, very jealous. But with Luca, at the first dinner, he asked him to stay and sleep».
