The Croatian national soccer player Marcelo Brozovic also follows the lure of money and moves to Saudi Arabia to the club of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Al-Nassr announced the signing of the 30-year-old midfielder.
Brozovic was last under contract with Inter Milan, according to media reports, the Champions League finalist received a fee of around 18 million euros.
The player himself should get more than 75 million euros in the three-year contract period.
“Everyone wanted him. He just wanted to come to us,” wrote the Saudi Arabian Pro-League club, where the Portuguese Ronaldo (38) has been chasing goals since the beginning of the year.
Since Ronaldo’s move to the UK, other stars have also signed contracts in the still insignificant league.
France’s Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kanté joined Al-Ittihad, while Senegal’s Kalidou Koulibaly will wear the Al-Hilal shirt.
Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard will also join Al-Ettifaq.
