Cristiano Ronaldo the first matches in the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr have gone under the bench.
The Portuguese star has remained scoreless in both matches he has played, and on Thursday Al-Nassr was also eliminated from the Saudi Arabian Super Cup after losing to Al-Ittihad 1-3 in the semi-final.
British newspaper Mirror according to Ronaldo looked frustrated on the field with his team’s poor defense and gestured harshly to his teammates.
However, even Ronaldo’s own performances have left much to be desired. In both matches, the popular football website Fotmob gave him a rating of 6.8. In the debut game, the reading was the team’s second worst.
Ronaldo’s strong deception attempts and the missed free kicks caught the attention of football fans on social media, and the striker immediately came under fire from supporters at the Al-Ittihad Stadium.
When the superstar left the stadium with a defeat on his neck, Al-Ittihad fans shouted at him mockingly.
– Messi, Messi, Messi, the shouts rang out, referring to Ronaldo’s ancient rival.
The Guardian recently listed Ronaldo as only the 51st best footballer in the world when it ranked the 100 best players of 2022. The number one on the list was Lionel Messi.
