Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has missed the first title chance with his new club Al-Nassr.
In the semifinals of the Saudi Super Cup, the Portuguese lost with his team against Al-Ittihad FC 1:3 (0:2) and missed out on the finals after a poor performance.
The 37-year-old Ronaldo also has to continue to wait for his first competitive goal in the desert state. Although the multiple world footballer led his team as captain, it was not enough to score again.
In the meantime, Ronaldo had the opportunity to make it 1-1 in the first half, but was unable to take advantage of his only dangerous move.
It was Ronaldo’s second competitive game for Al-Nassr. At its debut, the leaders in the league had lost 1-0 to Al-Ettifaq.
Ronaldo switched to Al-Nassr in the winter, where he signed a contract for two and a half years. According to media reports, including advertising revenue, he should get the equivalent of around 200 million euros per season.
