From 1 April, Minister of Welfare and Public Health Hilde Crevits (CD&V) will allocate 23 million euros for lateral entrants to meet the staff shortage in the healthcare sector. The minister said this on Sunday during a visit to Dominiek Savio in Hooglede in the context of the ‘Day of Care’. The money should be used to guide people to a job in the sector via side entry.
