First of all, the band will perform in Florida in April 2024 – but Creed are interested in more shows.
Creed will be performing live again soon. As the band announced on their Instagram account, Brian Marshall, Scott Phillips, Scott Stapp and Mark Tremonti have reunited as a group and will now be performing together again as Creed. First, they perform at the Summer of ’99 Cruise – a music festival organized as a cruise on the water.
The whole thing takes place from April 18th to 24th, 2024 from Miami, in the US state of Florida. Creed’s show will be the band’s first gig in more than a decade. Creed played their last concert in December 2012 after reuniting in 2009. After that, however, the group went quiet again.
“Creed Nation, the wait is over! We are beyond thrilled to meet again aboard Norwegian Pearl on the Summer of ’99 Cruise from April 18-22, 2024 from Miami, FL to Nassau, Bahamas,” they wrote.
The members also revealed that the band “have a lot more in store,” suggesting the reunion show won’t be a one-off thing. Alongside Creed, 3 Doors Down, Buckcherry, Tonic, Vertical Horizon, Fuel, The Verve Pipe, Tantric, Dishwalla, Louise Post (of Veruca Salt) and Nine Days will also perform at the Summer of ’99 Cruise.
Over the course of their career, Creed have released four studio albums. In 2004 the band broke up and the members continued to work on their own music projects. Brian Marshall, Mark Tremonti and Scott Phillips formed the rock band Alter Bridge with Myles Kennedy, while Scott Stapp decided to pursue a solo career. Since then, Mark Tremonti has also started a solo project. The band’s reunion finally came about after Scott Phillips hinted that Creed would be discussing a possible comeback in a November 2020 interview with TMZ: “We’re all in a good position right now. We feel like the four of us have a good relationship.”
The band hasn’t announced any concrete tour or album plans yet.
