creative people who make beautiful things from recycled materials

Dragonfly together with Stibat

It is becoming increasingly clear that you can still make very beautiful things from something that is old or no longer used: recycling is hip! From the simple – but very important – handing in your empty batteries so that new things can be made from the recovered metals, to creabeas that turn old bags into something completely new: there is so much possible. For a new series on Libelle TV we are looking for women who know what to do with old materials and who make the most beautiful things with them.

We make the series in collaboration with Stibat, this is the foundation that collects, sorts and recycles used batteries. They ensure that metals such as zinc, lead and manganese are recovered from the empty batteries. These metals can then serve as raw materials for new items. For example, only eight empty batteries are needed to make a cheese slicer.

Good to know

– The videos will be recorded on April 12, 19 and 26, important that you can one of these days.
– Your story will not only be published with a video on Libelle TV and on Libelle.nl, but also in the weekly magazine Libelle. A photo shoot will also take place on the same day. You will be put in make-up by a make-up artist and you will receive a well-filled goodie bag.

Sign up by filling out the form for 29 March to fill in:

  • We are curious about which old materials you make something new from, how you started with this and why you like it so much.
  • What do you do with old batteries? Do you collect these and hand them in? (it is no problem for this series if you sometimes forget to hand it in)
  • Upload a recent photo of yourself here.
  • What day or days are you available?

There is a plus in every empty battery, so hand it in!

Batteries are full of valuable metals that can be reused, so hand them in. Where you buy batteries, you can also return them. Look for a drop-off point near you emptybatteries.nl
