The British clothing retailer Superdry Plc will have to do without its creative director Phil Dickinson in the future. Dickinson has resigned from his post and will leave the company in the summer, Superdry confirmed to FashionUnited. The trade magazine Drapers had previously reported on the farewell. The former Nike manager joined Superdry in January 2019 and has been “responsible for product design and developing the brand’s creative direction” since then, according to the company.
In a statement, the clothing retailer thanked the outgoing creative director for “three successful years” and announced the continuation of the ongoing reform course: “Phil has played an important role in the realignment of the brand and leaves us with our best wishes,” said Superdry. “We have a strong creative team that will continue to drive the brand realignment to date, working closely with our CEO Julian Dunkerton.”
