In terms of sport, Kylian Mbappé’s departure from Paris Saint-Germain will leave a huge gap. Nevertheless, some at the club are apparently happy when the 25-year-old is gone. The reason is said to be partly questionable behavior.
Over the last few years, Paris Saint-Germain has tried a lot to make Kylian Mbappé’s stay at the club as pleasant as possible. The 25-year-old enjoyed privileges that far exceeded the norm.
PSG insider Romain Molina spoke about these privileges on Monday and revealed, among other things, that the superstar had a say in deciding which players should be brought in – and which not. In addition, Mbappé allegedly demanded from the club’s management that only he could take the penalties and no other player. “This shows that everyone was at his feet,” explained the journalist in his YouTube video.
Another “privilege,” according to Molina, was the control of reporting. According to his information, PSG regularly paid money to paparazzi so that unfavorable photos would not be published. Not only Mbappé benefited from this, but also the other stars in the squad.
Mbappé “is like Frankenstein”
According to Molina, some critical minds in the PSG leadership have lamented the Mbappé concessions behind closed doors. “There are clubs that have a clear framework. But football is a business. This framework doesn’t really exist in Paris. There are a lot of privileges,” said Molina, who said of the relationship between PSG and Mbappé: “It’s unbearable become.”
According to Molina, some PSG officials have spoken of the club having created “a monster” in Mbappé’s case. “Internally we say he is like Frankenstein and has escaped his master’s control,” the journalist quoted one of those responsible as saying.
Mbappé demands “crazy and unrealistic”
Molina also claimed that there was also a huge crisis in Mbappé’s internal circle. “His entourage has exploded. A lot of people are taking advantage of him,” said the insider, who emphasized, however, that Mbappé’s mother and advisor Fayza Lamari is not one of them and is doing everything to ensure that her son is well.
She is also said to have been the one who complained loudly in the PSG executive suite that her son’s farewell at the end of the season was leaked to the media in advance.
When asked why no other club besides Real Madrid really tried to get Mbappé’s signature, Molina says there is a simple answer: “Because at a certain point the demands were crazy and unrealistic.”
