U-turn on Deadline Day: After the move from Eintracht Frankfurt’s top scorer Randal Kolo Muani to Paris Saint-Germain seemed to have burst in the meantime, it is now apparently taking place.
As several media and transfer experts from home and abroad reported on Friday evening, Kolo Muani’s PSG transfer is perfect. Accordingly, up to 90 million euros flow to the SBU.
“Bild” even writes of 95 million euros. Accordingly, the offer from Paris was ultimately financially too attractive for Frankfurt to reject it, it is said.
Kolo Muani is said to have signed a contract with PSG until June 30, 2028. It was heard that he had already completed the medical check in Paris with the permission of Eintracht.
An official confirmation from both clubs is still pending. The transfer window in France closes at 11pm.
It had previously been said that SGE had canceled the transfer because the PSG youngster Hugo Ekitiké, who had been planned to replace Kolo Muani, had not come through. Other options such as Niclas Füllkrug were also already off the market.
Kolo Muani strikes at Eintracht Frankfurt
The Paris side had allegedly demanded around 35 million euros for Ekitiké until recently. In addition, according to reports, the Frenchman recently received an annual salary of around eight million euros from PSG. Apparently, this overall package was not manageable for the people of Frankfurt.
Kolo Muani had recently tried to force his move with a training strike and even missed the important playoff game in the Conference League against Levski Sofia.
It seems that the 24-year-old will not appear again in the Eintracht Frankfurt jersey.
Kolo Muani only switched from FC Nantes to Hessen last summer – on a free transfer. Economically, the PSG change for sports director Markus Krösche and Co. is a real mega deal.
