The Hakro Merlins Crailsheim started the Fiba Europe Cup with a narrow defeat. The Bundesliga basketball team lost 87:93 after extra time at the Swedish champions Norrköping Dolphins on Wednesday evening.
After 40 minutes it was 79:79. The best pitcher for coach Sebastian Gleim’s team was Maurice Stuckey with 16 points, while four other Merlins players scored in double figures.
The next international game for Crailsheim is next Wednesday at home against SCMU Craiova.
