Brussels – The speed and unanimity with which the West has responded to Russia after the attack on Ukraine has faltered. Turkey still threatens to block Finland and Sweden from joining NATO and in Brussels the EU foreign ministers have not reached a breakthrough over an oil boycott. “I would have liked to see it differently”, sighs foreign minister Wopke Hoekstra.
