With the entry into force at Christmas of the new anti-Covid decree 221/2021 and with the decree approved on December 29 in the CDM, a further tightening is triggered on the rules and prohibitions front. Always based on the double system provided for green certifications: the reinforced green pass reserved for vaccinated and cured people, as well as the basic green pass which is also obtained with a molecular buffer (valid for 72 hours) or antigenic (valid for 48 hours). Here are the main deadlines.
1) Stop quarantine from 31 December for those with the booster
From 31 December, those who have received the third dose (“booster”) or have been vaccinated with two doses for less than 4 months (or have recovered from Covid for less than 4 months), and are asymptomatic, no longer have to go to precautionary quarantine in case of close contact with a Covid positive person. You can therefore leave the house but it is mandatory to wear the FFP2 type mask for at least 10 days from the last exposure to the case. There is also a five-day self-monitoring period during which a rapid or molecular antigen test must be performed at the first appearance of symptoms. If still symptomatic, the swab should be repeated on the fifth day following the date of the last close contact. The self-monitoring period ends on the fifth day without having to swab if you remain asymptomatic.
2) From January 10th extended super green pass and booster after 4 months
Starting from January 10, the obligation of the super green pass in the white and yellow zone is extended to all activities with the exception of work and lessons at the university, activities for which it is still possible to use the buffer.
The “reinforced” green certificate as well as for entering indoor restaurants and bars (including counter service), theaters, cinemas, concert halls, stadiums, parties (except for those resulting from civil or religious ceremonies) and public ceremonies, as happens today, it will also be necessary until the end of the state of emergency (31 March) to access museums, swimming pools and indoor wellness centers, gyms, spas and amusement parks, indoor cultural and recreational centers, game rooms, bingo halls and casino.
Not only. With the further tightening decided on 29 December by the government, the super green pass will be mandatory from 10 January also on all means of transport, as well as for accessing hotels and accommodation facilities; holidays resulting from civil or religious ceremonies (such as baptisms or weddings); festivals and fairs; congresses; outdoor catering services; ski lifts; team sports pools also outdoors (such as five-a-side football); cultural, social and recreational centers for outdoor activities.
