Court of Audit report critical for Flemish government staff savings and outsourcing: “Not more cost-effective and more burnouts”

The Court of Audit is quite critical of the way in which the Flemish government has made savings on government personnel in recent years. The government may be able to achieve the planned personnel savings, but the total number of employees has nevertheless increased. Moreover, the staff cuts have caused additional stress and burnouts as well as increased outsourcing, which did not even prove to be more cost-effective.
