Course of the Month: Applied Chemistry

Diversity wins

From B for biochemistry to V for process engineering – the curriculum in the applied chemistry is extensive. The basic areas of analytics, biotechnology, reaction engineering and process engineering are closely interlinked in teaching. What is special about this course is that the teachers pay attention to the variety of raw materials that are researched at the TH Lübeck. In addition, the students deal with the biochemistry and biotechnology of renewable raw materials and the extraction and analysis of natural substances. About this range, ANC student Alexander Buck says:

For example, we have everything here at the Technical University, from biochemistry to process engineering, and what is still very fascinating here is that we can put the theory we learned in the lectures into practice right away in the laboratory.
