A 39-year-old is said to have been life-threateningly injured by her partner early on Saturday morning in Berlin.
The couple got into an argument in an allotment garden in Wartenberg, a police spokesman said.
The woman was therefore still able to call the emergency services and was operated on in the hospital. Her life is no longer in danger.
The police are looking for the 42-year-old suspect.
