On Friday, the Council of Ministers gave the green light for the first outlines of the new Migration Code that State Secretary for Asylum and Migration Sammy Mahdi (CD&V) wants to establish. The so-called “architecture” contains a set of basic principles. It is the ambition of the State Secretary to be able to send a first version of the new code to the Council of State early next year.
