The VfB attacker is repeatedly associated with FC Bayern – and is now flirting more and more clearly with the people of Munich.
Is there already a slow sign of the next transfer from FC Bayern? The departure of Robert Lewandowski has left a huge gap in the storm center of the German record champions. Are Munich still acting? The number of suitable candidates for the vacant position currently seems manageable.
But now an attacker has brought himself into conversation with Bayern – with clear statements: Sasa Kalajdzic from VfB Stuttgart. The time for a change to coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team was just right: “If you look at it soberly and neutrally, there would probably be no better timing,” said Kalajdzic on Sky there is no striker who is only there for a year.”
Bayern are said to have recently distanced themselves
The Austrian was previously traded as a possible candidate for the long-term successor to Lewandowski at Bayern, and was even considered one of the favorites at times. In May there were even talks between Kalajdzic’s advisors and the Munich team. But then the club are said to have refrained from signing the 2-meter man – the 25-year-old was reportedly intended for the role as a backup. But now Lewandowski is gone – and is the path clear for the Austrian international?
Kalajdzic switched from Admira Wacker to Stuttgart in 2019 for 1.75 million euros and has since scored 24 goals in 57 competitive games for VfB and provided 9 assists. In addition: Kalajdzic’s contract with the Swabians expires in the summer of 2023.
