The US cosmetics group Coty Inc. and the Italian fashion house Marni, which is part of the OTB Group, announced a new licensing partnership on Tuesday. As part of the agreement, Coty will develop, produce and distribute Marni brand fragrances and beauty products in the future, both companies said in a joint statement on Tuesday.
The long-term partnership therefore extends “beyond the year 2040”. According to current plans, the first products from Marni’s new cosmetics line are scheduled to come onto the market in 2026.
With the agreement, Coty says it aims to “strengthen its presence in the luxury perfume segment”. At the same time, the group is intensifying its cooperation with the OTB SpA group of companies. Last year, Coty had already extended its license agreement with the fashion house Jil Sander, which has been part of OTB since 2021.
