A stage rehearsal with all the costumes for the Staatsballett premiere of “Sleeping Beauty” on May 13 took place unusually early last week at the Deutsche Oper. The reason for this is the large number of different outfits. There are 177 roles in the Tchaikovsky classic in the version by Marcia Haydée. And many of the actors change their clothes several times, so that around 300 costumes were made.
