Correos is again the Logistics Operator of La Vuelta

For the fourth consecutive year, the logistics operator will be in charge of moving all the material for the most important cycling event in the country

On August 26, the 78th edition of Vuelta 23 started in Barcelona. most important cycling event in the country that will cover the national geography and that will culminate on September 17 in the Paisaje de la Luz in Madrid. One more year, Mail has been designated as the Official Logistics Operator of La Vueltathus consolidating its fundamental role in organizing the prestigious cycling competition for the fourth consecutive year.

In this way, the 78th edition of La Vuelta will have the crucial logistical support of Correos to ensure the movement of all the necessary material in its 42 officeswhich include 21 starts and 21 goals, distributed in various locations in Spain, Andorra and France.

Mail will mobilize more than 400 tons of essential material to guarantee the correct development of the competition. To do this, the postal company will make available to La Vuelta an impressive fleet that will include 27 tractor units, two trucks with trailers, a rigid truck and 15 platforms. These vehicles will cover a total of 3,153.8 kilometerscarrying with it essential elements for the race, such as fences, signposting and various mobile finish line infrastructures, including the podium, the press room and the signature control, among others.

In addition to its role as Official Logistics Operator, Correos will also be the collaborator main in the team classification of La Vuelta 23. This recognition will be granted daily to the team that leads the classification by squads, based on the sum of the three best individual times of the riders of each team. The leading team in this classification will wear a red dorsal badge with the Correos logohighlighting their status as the best team in the peloton at the time.

The collaboration of Correos with La Vuelta will also become evident in the Park Return of each stage, where a post office tent will be installed. In this space, interactive activities will be carried out such as a ‘quiz’ with two roulette wheels and questions about Correos products and services. The goal is to provide the public with a greater understanding of the company’s actions and offerings, including storage, preparation of shipments, sale ‘on line’ without commissions through Correos Market, and end-to-end solutionsboth nationally and internationally, among other services.
