Correos has warned that there are about 450,600 electoral documents that are still not picked up at the post offices and that remain available to voters to be able to exercise their right to vote by mail on July 23. In a press release, the Post Office has specified that it has already made available to citizens the 98.2% of requested postal votes, amounting to 2.6 million petitions, for which it has already sent 2.57 million electoral documents.
However, it stresses that although it has delivered 2.12 million votes in hand until this Mondaythere are still another 450,607 pending to be collected after the two delivery attempts to the recipient, as required by law.
The postal entity points out that the more than 45,000 Post Office workers will continue “to be employed with the same professionalism” until July 23 and highlights the “normal performance of this entire electoral process.”
