Correia and Landvreugd will finish the season at Telstar after coach Snoei’s dismissal

Correia and Landvreugd were not available for interviews today. Correia is also head coach at second division team Katwijk. Uli Landvreugd was previously the trainer of second division team AFC. Today we will discuss further how the exact division of tasks will be.

Captain Mitch Apau responded to Snoei’s dismissal for the first time today. “After the 6-1 defeat against MVV, we spoke to the group on Saturday. It has to be different. We told each other the truth. It is not just the trainer, it is also the players. We are on the field. You know how it works in football, but it is certainly not just the trainer. It is certainly also the group,” said Apau.

The Telstar captain is therefore conscious of guilt. “As captain you have an important role in the group. You try to keep the group together and we have to become a unit. We have to work on that,” said Apau.

Peter Hofstede also believes that not only the trainer is responsible. “You also have to take matters into your own hands. It can’t just be the trainer’s fault. Something had to change. And the playing group will also have to come up with solutions.”
