Covid: Mexico authorizes Cuban Abdala vaccine
Cofepris, Mexico’s Federal Commission for Protection Against Public Health Risks, has authorized the emergency use of the Cuban Covid vaccine Abdala, a drug based on recombinant proteins. This was announced by the Commission on its website.
Since Cofepris is the reference authority qualified by the Pan American Health Organization (Ops), “its decisions are recognized by various countries in the region, so the approved vaccines are likely to be used by other nations”, specifies Cofepris.
