Scientists at Johns Hopkins University have developed a cheaper and faster alternative to the PCR test. It is a tiny sensor that can detect the coronavirus in ten minutes. If all goes well, the technology could be used within a year and the cost could drop to one dollar (or slightly less than one euro) per test.
