Corona parameters are going in the right direction

This is evident from the corona figures from Sciensano on Friday. All parameters continue to move in the right direction.

There are now 901 people in hospital (-26 percent), of which 59 are in the intensive care unit (-9 percent). The number of new infections fell by 42 percent between October 25 and 31, to an average of 929 per day. 24 percent fewer tests were performed than a week earlier. The positivity rate is 15.8 percent. During the same period, an average of 6.1 people died each day with or from the virus, a 33 percent decrease. A total of 32,941 people have died since the start of the pandemic. The reproduction number is 0.74. When that number is lower than 1, the epidemic diminishes in strength.
