The parking zone in the Brunnenplatz/Hochstrasse region should be ready by March 15th. On Monday, however, the Mitte district office announced: “Unfortunately, this date cannot be kept due to delays in the delivery of material orders due to the pandemic situation.”
Is there a bit of white paint missing here? The Mitte district office replies to the BZ request: “There are delivery problems in procuring the necessary materials for signage.”
While the district could ask another contractor for signs, it would take several months to tender!
“We cannot assume negative financial effects.” Especially not for Berlin drivers: There are no traffic tickets near the district court of Wedding until April 4th.
