Corona: all numbers are falling neatly

There are now 1,218 people in hospital, a decrease of 19 percent. 69 of them are in intensive care, a decrease of 9 percent.

The number of infections fell by 37 percent between October 18 and 24, to an average of 1,599 per day. There were also 24 percent fewer tests than a week earlier. The positivity rate is 19.7 percent. During the same period, an average of 8 people died each day with or from the virus, a decrease of 8 percent. A total of 32,902 people have died since the start of the pandemic. The reproduction number is 0.80. When that number is lower than 1, the epidemic diminishes in strength.
