The third heat wave has activated the warnings in more than half of Spain this Monday with the highest incidence in Andalusia, where the provinces of Córdoba and Jaén maintain the red level (extreme risk) for maximums up to 44 degrees, reports the Aemet on its website.
In Andalusia, Córdoba and Jaén maintain the red level due to temperatures of 44 degrees in the Cordovan countryside, the Guadalquivir valley in Jaén and in Morena and Condado; in Granada and Seville there are orange notice (significant risk) for maximums between 40 and 42 degrees in areas of the Sevillian countryside, in Pedroche, in the Genil basin, Guadix and Baza.
All the provinces of Castilla-La Mancha, except Guadalajara, have activated the Orange alert for maximum values between 37 and 42 degrees in practically the entire community; in Albacete and Cuenca there are also yellow noticeor (risk) due to storms with very strong gusts of wind associated with them.
Extremadura maintains the orange notice in the province of Badajoz, where the thermometer will register 40 degrees in the Guadiana plain, in Extremadura Siberia and in the towns of Barros and Serena.
Orange notice in Madrid
The Community of Madrid is in orange In points of the metropolitan area and Henares and in areas of the south, west and Las Vegas by records that will oscillate between 40-41 degrees.
In the Mediterranean, the island of Majorca (Baleares) is still in orange level by maximums that will climb up to 39 degrees at points in the interior of Mallorca.
The communities of Aragon, Castilla y León, Catalonia, Murcia, the Valencian Community, Navarra, and La Rioja are yellow notice by heat that will oscillate between 39-34 degrees.
The Aemet warns that with the red alert the risk is extreme with unusual meteorological phenomena of exceptional intensity and with a very high level of risk for the populationwhile with the orange level there is a significant risk in unusual meteorological phenomena and for usual activities.
