Cooperation between CRÉATION GROSS and the Ukraine

After it became known on February 24, 2022 that Ukraine had been attacked by Russia, crisis talks began at Création Gross. After all, one of the main plants where the Franconian men’s fashion manufacturer has its products manufactured is in the south-west of the Ukraine on the Hungarian border. The management immediately decided to do everything possible to maintain the long-standing business relationship with the plant and to give the people there at least economic security and also a certain feeling of normality.

A solution was sought with the long-standing freight forwarder to continue driving to the Ukraine to bring in raw goods and take out finished goods. The trucking company could not find any Ukrainian drivers, as all men between 18 and 60 years of age are called up. Finally, the carrier was able to recruit two drivers who live on the border and were willing to assist us. The outward journey went smoothly. The employees and the managing director were visibly pleased. Backwards there was a somewhat longer stay at the Hungarian border, but then we continued to the headquarters in Hersbruck. There, in turn, the employees of Création Gross were already waiting to give the two drivers a fitting greeting. On behalf of everyone, Thomas Steinhart thanked both of them for their commitment.

The company Création Gross with its two brands CARL GROSS and CG – CLUB of GENTS has been manufacturing in the Ukraine for 6 years. It is one of the most important works for them and the contact between the companies has always been characterized by partnership, which has also now proven itself.

All employees are currently still working in the Ukrainian company. Even on International Women’s Day on March 8, everyone wants to work, although they actually have the day off, the day is a public holiday there. But the need for normality and community with colleagues is more important now. And we support this by doing everything we can to ensure deliveries.

The management hopes that the transport to the plant will continue to work well in order to be able to support the partners. Of course, every trip is checked to see whether the risk can still be taken and of course the final decision rests with the drivers.
