Cool off: that’s how long you travel from Zoetermeer to Mont Blanc

And where better to cool off than on the top of Europe’s highest mountain, Mont Blanc? Nice with your feet in the snow, the cool mountain air blowing past your cheeks while you drink a refreshing sip of melting glacier water… Now that’s cooling down!

Distance to Mont Blanc

But how long will it take you from Zoetermeer to cool down your overheated body on the 4,808 meter high Franco-Italian mountain? Since you cannot reach the top by car, we first measure the distance between Zoetermeer and Chamonix at the foot of Mont Blanc. What seems? That distance is 1,011 kilometers. By car it takes you 10 hours and 46 minutes.

The top of Mont Blanc is located on the border between France and Italy. The Italian name is therefore Monte Bianco, which means ‘white mountain’, just like in French. To cool off at the top of Mont Blanc you have to make some effort, because from Chamonix you can walk to the highest point. That route is 25.7 kilometers and it takes an experienced mountaineer, according to Google Maps, about eight and a half hours. You have to climb 3,813 meters, because Chamonix is ​​located at an altitude of 995 meters. There is a good chance that you will arrive overheated at the top, but then you can cool off in the coolest place in Europe. Check out that view!
