You really want to be here. At the Stadsfestival Zoetermeer 2040 you can participate in cool activities all day for free on Saturday 16 September. From a bricks aholic and VR gaming workshop at the Dutch Innovation Factory to a tour of the town hall and a project market. The offer is fun for young and old.

Take a city tour along 5 locations
Free buses run between the various event locations. This allows you to take a ‘city tour’ during the day between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. along the various projects and activities in the city. “We set up the festival together with many different organizations,” says Mariëlle van den Berge of the municipality enthusiastically. “This really makes it a festival for all of us.”
For example, participate in the ‘Compassion Run 2040’. Experience an unforgettable hour of glitz and glamor with the spectacular Drag Queen karaoke. Or play a game of Pac-Man in the pop-up museum of the National Video Game Museum.

Fun and durability
Many activities at the city festival are all about sustainability. Visit the Sustainability market. Explore the four-color roof of the town hall and experience the possibilities of multifunctional roofs with the Zoetermeerse Dakenteam. During the Wild Herbal Walk, taste leaves you never thought you could eat. Or make your own work of art via upcycling at the Piezo Craft Workshop.
Think about the future of Zoetermeer
During the city festival you are also invited to think about the future of Zoetermeer as a place where you can enjoy living, recreation, work and doing business. For example, visit the exhibition at Oud Soetermeer with the motto ‘Without insight into the past, there is no present and future. Share your wishes, dreams and ideas for the city by contributing to a large joint work of art. And take part in the conversation at Club Entree about what Zoetermeer could look like in 2040.

Splendid prom
The City Festival Zoetermeer 2040 will be closed in style at 7 p.m. with a fabulous prom on the Markt with a children’s show, DJs, Qmusic Foute Uur live and a drone show.
