The Greek star scored 44 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists against the Los Angeles Lakers, partly resulting in a 131-116 win for the visitors from Milwaukee.
Bobby Portis added 23 points for Milwaukee, who even led by 30 points in the third quarter. The Bucks are second behind the Miami Heat in the NBA’s Eastern Division. For the Lakers, who lost for the fifth time in seven games, LeBron James was the top scorer with 27 points.
Phoenix Suns, the leader in the Western Conference, was too strong for the Philadelphia 76’ers with 114-109. At the Suns, Devin Booker (35 points) and Mikal Bridges (23) were the most prolific players.
Joel Embiid was good for 34 points for the home team. It was the 21st game in a row in which he scored at least 25 points.
