That’s handy: a machine with which you can send or receive packages day and night. You can arrange it all yourself, all you need is a working email address and your telephone. You will also find PostNL and DHL parcel lockers in a number of places in Zoetermeer.

Are you not at home when your package is delivered and do you hate packages being delivered to your neighbors? You can also have your packages delivered to the parcel machine. You drive past the machine at a time that suits you.

Package received

If you want to receive a package in a machine, select ‘Pick up at a PostNL point’ in the online store and select the machine of your choice. This also applies to a DHL point. You will receive an email with a code when your package is ready. You enter this code on the screen and the correct box on the machine will open. The package is kept for 72 hours at a PostNL machine and 7 days at a DHL machine. Then it goes to another collection point nearby.

Send package

You can also send a package via PostNL and DHL machines. Via PostNL you buy and print a label that you have to stick on the package. Go to the machine and scan the barcode on your package. Then you open the PostNL app, scan your PostNL ID and a box on the machine will open. Place the package inside and close the door. You will immediately receive proof in your email that the package has been shipped.

With the My DHL app you can prepare your package for departure. First click on ‘New shipment’, select the weight (maximum 20 kilos for a machine). Enter your own details and those of the recipient. Pay the costs for your package online with iDEAL or credit card. Now all you have to do is print your shipping label, stick it on your package, and take it away! No printer at home? Then choose printless shipping and have the QR code scanned at the DHL point.

Will everything fit in there?

You cannot yet send all types of packages via the parcel machine. Do you want to send something registered, insured or urgently? Then you have to go to a manned PostNL or DHL point. The machines are not yet suitable for return packages. At PostNL, your package may not exceed 61 x 52.5 x 41 centimeters in size. At DHL these dimensions are 80 x 50 x 35 centimeters.
