Control escalated due to missing dog leash

This control in Görlitzer Park has escalated completely…

Two security staff wanted to check a woman around 5.40 p.m. on Thursday afternoon who is said to have not had her dog on a leash. According to the police, the dog owner is said to have refused her personal details.

When she then wanted to leave, a police officer is said to have arrested her. At that moment, a 38-year-old came and is said to have harassed the inspectors and filmed with his cell phone.

Then he is said to have raised his fists and punched one of the employees. The inspector was able to avoid it. However, further punches are said to have followed, which the law enforcement officer fended off with tear gas.

Now the attacker is said to have lifted his bike and threatened to throw it at the inspectors. Then he is said to have threatened with an open jackknife. One of the inspectors now took his baton in his hand. Only then did the attacker (38) end his attack – and instead fled.

As he fled, he hit an unknown young woman and fell. Police officers who had already been alerted arrested the man, although he is said to have put up fierce resistance here too. All of this was filmed by witnesses.

The eye irritation of the arrested person caused by the irritant gas was treated by rescue workers from the fire brigade in the park. Furthermore, no one was injured, not even the young woman who was hit and continued on her way. After an identification service, the forces released the 38-year-old, according to the police.

He now faces charges of assault, threats with a knife and resisting law enforcement officers. The investigations into this are ongoing. At the same time, the security service employee is now being investigated for dangerous bodily harm due to the use of the irritant gas.
