MSV Duisburg and Vincent Gembalies go their separate ways after 15 years. By mutual agreement, Meiderich and the 23-year-old central defender prematurely terminated the contract that was valid until June 30, 2024 at the end of the 2022/23 season.
Gembalies came to MSV at the age of eight, went through all the youth teams and made the leap to the professionals in 2019. The defender has been used 76 times since then, including three games in the 2nd Bundesliga.
After playing regularly in recent years, the homegrown player was completely left out this season and did not play a game for the “Zebras”. It is not yet clear where the Oberhausen native will go.
