Coach castling in Zurich
After Giorgio Contini’s resignation at the end of August, it is only clear that he will definitely not stay with the Grasshoppers. After the announcement of the termination, Contini said that he could imagine continuing to work for the club – but only on the condition that the squad planning for the next season progresses. Sports director Bernt Haas informed the 49-year-old on Friday that the “Hoppers” will start the next season with a new coach.
It is not yet known who that will be. The “View» but brings an interesting name into play: the people of Zurich are said to have already had initial talks with Miroslav Klose. And further negotiations are imminent. The 44-year-old is currently without a club after being sacked by Austrian first division club Altach in March. Before his time in Vorarlberg, he was assistant coach of the first team and coach of the U17 at FC Bayern and assistant coach in the German national team.
