Construction works casino Middelkerke officially started

After eight years of waiting, the time has finally come. The construction of the new casino in Middelkerke has started and there is a rush behind it. The Middelkerk municipality only received the environmental permit from the Flemish government last month and today the spade is already in the ground. The contractor will receive a total of 644 calendar days from the mayor to deliver the building ready-made. The opening is already planned for December 23, 2023.

Mayor Jean-Marie Dedecker is pleased that the works have started on time: “It is in everyone’s interest that the works run as smoothly as possible. We intervene in one of the most important zones of our seaside resort and that will be a bit of a bite. It is inevitable, but fortunately not infinite.”
