Money, gold, expensive watches – yes. But who steals tax documents? Rinor I (22), construction worker from Macedonia. At least that’s what the prosecutor claimed on Friday in the trial before the district court.

On December 15, 2020 at 6:25 a.m., he and an accomplice who has not yet been identified are said to have ambushed his ex-boss in Wedding in front of his apartment door, hit him with a hammer and robbed him of his black folder with the documents.

Yes, he knows the contractor, explains the accused. He lived in accommodation he had provided in Berlin. “And worked for him on two construction sites for three weeks… without a contract of employment.” Then he had to return home because of his seriously ill father. “I asked the boss for my wages.” But he refused. His reason: “Your work was bad and not finished at that…”

Did Rinor I. want to get the outstanding money with the robbery? Not realizing that the folder contains valuable tax documents “only” for him? So far he has been silent on this.

And his ex-boss (55)? He cannot say in court whether the accused was one of the two robbers: “I didn’t recognize anyone. The men were masked and didn’t say a word. The taller one had a knife in his hand. The smaller one used the hammer.” With that, a skull fracture and a broken nose were inflicted.
