“I have had thyroid cancer myself and I am probably irradiated with material from Petten,” says the initiator of the Wendy Borst-Roozendaal walk-in house. “I wanted to give something back and that’s why we started this. That we now get this amount is super. It feels like the circle is round.”

The Walk -in House wants to spend the money in the coming years already all activities that the cancer patients and their loved ones need. “We usually have a group of 8 to 10 people. That is a good number. They can then do their story well. Thanks to this contribution we can move forward for a long time,” says Karin van der Vliet, treasurer at the walk -in house.
