The American news channel Fox News has ended its collaboration with conservative news presenter Tucker Carlson after six years. “We thank him for the services rendered to the network,” said Fox News Media.

The 50-year-old Carlson has hosted the popular prime-time program ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ since 2016. He went on to become one of the most influential voices in conservative America, but was also widely criticized for spreading conspiracy theories and racism.
Carlson’s show last Friday was his last, clarifies the channel, which is part of magnate Rupert Murdoch’s media empire. There is no successor yet, his program will temporarily have different presenters.
The news comes nearly a week after the $787.5 million settlement between Fox News and Dominion. The voting computer manufacturer had demanded $1.6 billion in damages from the news channel because Fox allegedly spread reports about alleged manipulation of the voting computers during the 2020 presidential election.
