Iran’s main ultra-conservative newspaper, Kayhan, on Saturday praised the man who stabbed world-renowned writer Salman Rushdie the day before in the United States. A fatwa was pronounced against the British-Indian writer after the publication of the book ‘The Satanic Verses’ in 1988 by the Iranian Ayatollah Khomeini.
