The case will not proceed to trial.
The rape accusation brought against Conor McGregor in June will not go to trial, entertainment website TMZ news.
According to the prosecutor, there was not enough evidence or eyewitness observations in the case to conclusively state that McGregor raped the woman.
TMZ wrote in the summer that the UFC star is described as having forced a woman to have oral sex with him in the finals of the basketball league NBA.
The violent rape allegedly took place in the men’s restroom at the Miami Heat’s home arena. Surveillance camera videos showed McGregor going to the bathroom together with the woman.
However, according to the eyewitness interviewed by the prosecutor, the woman did not show any indication in the toilet that what had happened was against her will.
Authorities spoke with a friend of the woman who went into the booth, who said the woman never mentioned McGregor attacking her. The friend said the woman even called her mother and told her she met McGregor.
