Connor Rousseau intervenes himself at Vooruit Torhout

The core of the disagreement within the local branch lies in a pamphlet that board member Frank Verhoye distributed among the members of the party. In it he aimed at his successor Ine Debruyne and the current alderman for social affairs, Paul Dieryckx. Rousseau came to listen to the local chapter on Monday evening, but it was not possible to put the pieces together.

Rousseau makes a rather bold decision: the powers of Vooruit in Torhout will be assumed by himself, Melissa Depraetere from Stasegem and Simon Bekaert from Tielt. It is true that the local representatives remain in office, but if they make a decision, it must first be checked with the party leaders. Rousseau hopes that peace can return to his Torhoutse department. Ships Dieryckx remains active, Frank Verhoye can keep his party card.
