It could just be that a type like Connie Witteman after the croquette verdict will make a big impact, says show connoisseur Rob Goossens. “He also has a lot of money and long toes.”
Rachel Hazes was the first Dutch person to succeed in getting the judge to ban an innocent nickname, namely ‘cremated croquette’. RTL Boulevard star Rob Goossens fears that the croquette verdict will lead to other wealthy celebrities also trying to silence critics with expensive lawsuits.
Connie’s toes
His colleague Luuk Ikink talks about it in the latest BLVD Podcast. “The issue of principle of being allowed to pronounce cremated croquette remains [ondanks de kroketvrede] stand of course. The case law of this cremated croquette could also be that at some point I will call someone flambéed frikandel and that is not allowed.”
Rob joins in: “I immediately thought of Connie Breukhoven. We all know him, of course, as the former Vanessa. He has a lot of money and long toes.”
Dried out chamois leather
We can already brace ourselves for Connie and her long toes, Rob thinks. “I thought: there will just come a time when you accidentally step on it and he thinks: well, if cremated croquettes are not allowed, then dried-out chamois leather is not allowed either, or I don’t know what kind of term.”
He continues: “I think that is a bit dangerous. That it will be a tolerance situation… I find it exciting. I understand very well that Yvonne is like: I am not going to bother the judge with trivial things, but that you are still going to limit freedom of expression by allowing this to continue… I think that is quite essential actually.”
No appeal
Rob therefore regrets that Yvonne does not appeal against Rachel after all. Now that the professional widow has promised that she will not hand out fines for croquettes, the juice queen does not think it is appropriate to further burden the legal system with this issue.
