Connie Witteman gets a beating from John: ‘Shut your mouth!’

Connie Witteman gets a good beating from John van den Heuvel. “Actually, if you don’t know the facts, you should just keep your mouth shut, that’s what it really comes down to.”

For a while it seemed that Marco Borsato could slowly start working on his comeback again – patience was running out, especially among celebrity friends – but now that he is going to be prosecuted for indecent assault on a minor, everything has changed again. And to think that Connie Witteman demanded reparations from Marco a few weeks ago.

Opinion about Connie

These types of celebrities are very quick to ignore the fact that there has not yet been a judgment from the judge. “Calm your tits,” Yvonne Coldeweijer shouted at the society star. And John van den Heuvel agrees with this.

Wilson Boldewijn asks the crime journalist in a video on the Telegraaf site: “There are quite a few celebrities who have expressed their support for Marco, even though they do not know the facts. We recently had Connie Breukhoven. How do you look at that?”

‘Just shut up’

According to John, Connie would be better off keeping quiet. “Actually, if you don’t know the facts, you should just keep your mouth shut, that’s what it really comes down to. I don’t know all the facts, but I do know a few more facts.”

John himself has believed in Marco’s guilt since the beginning. “I have always had the confidence and expressed that this is not just a matter that is simply thrown off the table and later said to be all nonsense. The mere fact that the investigation took so long proves that.”

‘Far too premature’

According to John, statements like Connie’s are far too premature. “That’s his mother and other people from his environment… I believe that Connie Breukhoven had already shouted: ‘Well, you know, there should be compensation for this!’ You know, that’s all way too premature.”

He continues: “This is an originally world guy, world singer, sympathetic, supports charities, you name it. If he falls off his pedestal like that… Of course I understand that people want to stand up for him.”

Cognitive dissonance

There is cognitive dissonance here, John believes. “That too, yes. I also have so many colleagues in the profession who say: ‘John, come on, I just can’t imagine that.’ Yeah, but yeah, you know.”

He continues: “Despite the fact that I feel bad for his family and his children, I still have more sympathy and compassion for that girl who had the courage to report it, knowing that all this would happen to her. I consider her a victim. Whether the judge sees it that way will have to be demonstrated later.”

Patty and Ruud

The image completely tilts again, according to Patty Brard Show news. “Mart Hoogkamer and Tino Martin just thought: what to cancel? This is taking too long for all of us. Even we were a bit at the tipping point: this is all taking so long, it won’t go that fast.”

‘Even us’?! What?! Shownieuws simply led the way. Patty’s colleague Anouk Smulders practically smeared Marco’s alleged victim behind that desk. Just like Ruud de Wild did on the radio. And now that Marco is being persecuted he is silent. “I’m not going to burn myself with this anymore,” he said in yesterday’s broadcast.

What can Marco expect? John: “I cannot rule out that a prison sentence will result.”
