Confusion about sports commentator taking a break

Frank Buschmann said last week that he was “at the end of his strength.” Now he announced a break. The TV broadcaster Sky apparently knows nothing about it.

Frank Buschmann announced a break with a detailed statement on his Instagram profile. The sports commentator, who had already described himself as “through” the week before, wanted to take a break (read more about this here). “Because that should always be the most important thing, otherwise you can’t do this job well! And in the end it’s just a job,” he wrote.

Buschmann, who works for Sky for Bundesliga games and for RTL as a presenter for shows such as “Ninja Warrior” and “Top Dog Germany”, probably also surprised one of his employers.

Because Sky at least said: “We are pleased that Frank Buschmann will continue to work for us as planned,” as was evident from an inquiry from the German Press Agency. Buschmann himself could not initially be reached.

It is not yet known whether the 59-year-old will be heard in the Bundesliga at the weekend or whether he will actually be out for an uncertain period of time.
