A man was arrested on Schulpweg in Velsen-Noord tonight who was walking down the street with a knife and something resembling a firearm.
Police received a report of an altercation in the street around 5 p.m. According to a police spokesman, officers who arrived in Schulpstraat saw that the man had entered a home.
According to the police, the presumably confused man posed a danger to himself and those around him and was therefore arrested by an arrest team and taken to the police station. Due to the nature of the report, the arrest team was present with various units.
