Conference League draw: for Lazio and Fiorentina to avoid West Ham and Villarreal

Here are also Lazio and Fiorentina in the round of 16 of the Conference League: draw scheduled for 1pm in Nyon. Having obtained the pass through the playoffs, the biancocelesti and viola will not be seeded and will play the first leg at home (scheduled for March 9, while the second leg will take place a week later, on the 16th).

The possible opponents will therefore be the eight teams that took first place in the groups: AZ Alkmaar (Netherlands), Djurgarden (Sweden), Basaksehir (Turkey), Nice (France), Sivasspor (Turkey), Slovan Bratislava (Slovakia), Villarreal (Spain) and West Ham (England). Teams from the same nation cannot meet.

Villarreal and West Ham are red dots: they may have lost ground in the league, but they’ve been the favorites since July in the Conference. It would be better not to cross them, at least not now. Like them, not even Nice shines at home: but with the Rossoneri the prediction would be substantially balanced, as well as probably with AZ. With Basaksehir, Fiorentina have a bitter memory: the 0-3 earned in Istanbul, perhaps the worst performance of the season for the Viola. But Italian and Sarri, with the right motivations, can go through in the double clash. The others (Djurgarden, Slovan and Sivasspor) can perhaps only cause concern on a logistical level, given the not very comfortable away games, but they would be opponents to be drawn with a smile.
